I was thrilled to be part of this show, held at a wonderful art center very close to Dartmouth College. Life: Reconstructed was chosen out of the entries I submitted, and it was a fitting work for this show, which was intended to bring attention to improving the mental health in our region.

Colleague Mary Sundstrom with me in front of “Equinox”
Late this past winter into early Spring, I was invited to participate in a wonderful exhibit entitled, “30 Golden Apples: Selected Work from Golden Apple Art Residency” at the Kresge Gallery, University of Olivet in Olivet, Michigan. For this show, I entered two works: Solstice and Equinox, both of which I created while in residency at KIRA (Kingsbrae International Residency for Artists in St. Andrews, NB, Canada. More info below under “Residencies”). This was an outstanding show and I was thrilled to be able to go to the reception and meet my colleagues from Golden Apple, as well as those I had not yet met.
This residency hosts 5-6 artists/writers/musicians per session, with 3 sessions per year. I have been to Golden Apple four times so far, and each time, I make huge breakthroughs in my work. For more information on Golden Apple, click HERE.
